We Are Going Green

ALTHOUGH WE ARE STILL EVOLVING, AND WE KNOW WE STILL HAVE A BIT OF A WAY TO GO,                                        OUR MISSION IS TO OFFER A FULLY GREEN SERVICE BY REDUCING OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT                                                 BY THE END OF 2025.

See below what our company has done so far in reducing waste and what you can do to help.

Since we opened our doors in 2023, all of our bouquets are put together using recyclable, reuasble and compostable materials. The flowers and twine can simply be popped into a compost bin along with the cellophane wrap and the cotton handle from the gift bags when they're finished being used. The paper bags and boxes can be recycled along with the card and wrap and the wooden pegs that holds the card and envelope can be re-used time and time again!

From September 2024, we will be switching plastic food sachets to paper ones so these can also be popped into your recycle bin along with other recyclable paper materials. Even our tissue paper is recyclable as these are acid free. You don't have to worry about peeling of any harmful plastic celloptape from wrapping as we invested in using eco friendly paper tape from the get go. Yes, we have thought of everything to minimise our impact on the environment and hope to reduce it more in everey way we can!

We are extremely serious about what we do, so we are reducing the amount of floral foam we use in our funeral and wedding work too. Some of our funeral tributes use Agrawool or bio-foam, but where possible we try to use a traditional moss base on a willow or metal ring for our wreaths and Agrawool in our planted casket baskets. For a completetely green burial we also have the option of a natural planted basket to sit on top of the casket or a substitute for a traditional posy arrangement. Our wedding arrangements use Agrawool, but we hope to find sustainable ways of bringing you new designs, like we said, we are still evloving!

When it comes to our blooms, all of the snipped stems are popped into our compost heap along with the twine and any off cuts of cellophane. We try to use seasonal, british grown seasonal flowers in our arrangements with an aim to reduce the significant impact and air miles that imported flowers have from overseas.
